2012 AUSTRALIA DAY CATAMARAN REGATTA
WELCOME
Get ready for the most exciting regatta open ocean regatta. The annual Australia Day Regatta will be held at the Torquay Yacht Club on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th JANUARY 2012. This year the event will be a 2 day format. One day will be the thrilling Bill Worrall Memorial Coaster. The coaster begins at the Torquay Yacht Club and follows Australia's most famous surf coast past Bells Beach and Pt Addis all the way to Anglesea. The return is just as exciting, especially with a good breeze and a nice swell - perfect for a catamaran!
The other day will be exciting short course racing with the swell adding an extra dimension!
This is a must do open ocean long ditstance racing event, hope to see you at Torquay.

SATURDAY: Sunny, wind light then building to 10-15 knots S/E
SUNDAY: Wind 10-15 knots N then 5-10 N/W
Comments:
This years event is looking like a ripper and everyone is excited that its reverted back to the 2 day format. Fleet size is looking big with strong pre-registrations so expecting 35+ catamarans.
